Oklahoma City University Honored dance legend Arthur Duncan during its Spring 2008 commencement ceremony with an honorary doctorate of performing arts. From the dean of OCU's Ann Lacey School of American Dance and Arts Management: "It is Oklahoma City University's pleasure to honor one of the legendary masters of tap dance and entertainment for his commitment to this American art form".
