About Andrea Howat
Andrea Howat first studied dance in Chicago, Illinois. She trained in tap dancing jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop dance but she later began focusing primarily on tap. She studied tap dance with Idella Reed-Davis at the Sammy Dyer School of Theatre in Chicago and until she began attending college in Florida she performed with the M.A.D.D. Rhythms tap ensemble in Chicago, a group that also featured Martin “Tre” Dumas III, Bril Barrett, and Jumaane Taylor. She substitute taught all levels of tap at the Joel Hall Dance Center and the Lou Conte Dance Studio, both in Chicago. Andrea received a Bachelors degree in Musical Theater and Dance in 2007 from Palm Beach Atlantic University in South Florida. More recently Andrea has made a career out of teaching her own special style of dance exercise classes in Tennessee and New York.
