Remembering Tap Dancer Eddie Rector (1890's-1962)
A tribute, fan site, and profile of early vaudevillian and tap dancer Eddie Rector.
NAME: Eddie Rector
Eddie Rector had a style of tap dancing that was unique at the time, that incorported arm movements and moved around the floor, similar what is known today as Broadway style tap dancing. Some of his specialties were soft shoe, sand dancing, and dancing the Waltz Clog tap step to the song "Bambalina". He as sometimes known as "The Boy in Grey" because one of his costumes was a pearl grey colored top hat, tuxedo with tails, and cape.
