Janne Eraker studied tap dancing, jazz, and modern dance at School for Contemporary Dance in Oslo, , Codarts in Rotterdam and Dance Space in New York. She founded a festival known as " Open Dance" which was held in Rotterdam from 2009 through 2013. Today she organizes tap jam sessions in Amsterdam and Rotterdam and teaches dance independently and she has also taught at Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam. She received a three year Norwegian Artist Grant in January of 2015.
