Remembering Tap Dancer Paul Kennedy (1940-2002)
A tribute to tap dancer, tap instructor and choreographer Paul Kennedy.
NAME: Paul Kennedy
Paul Kennedy Learned to dance at his mother's dance academy, the Kennedy Dance School in Boston. During the 1960's and 1970's he choreographed for, and taught dancing to many of the top pop singers and groups, including Gladys Night and the Pips, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, and Michael Jackson. He taught dance for the Southern California city of Carson from 1980 to 1983. In 1988 he and his sister Arlene founded the Kenn the Universal Design Dance Studio at 6009 West Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles. They also founded the Kennedy Tap Company.
