Mayfair Academy of Fine Arts
Tommy Sutton founded the Mayfair Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago in 1957. At that time it was located at 7923 South King Drive and where it had a faculty of 5 and nearly 100 students. The studio later moved to several different locations, and today the Mayfair Academy is located at 8701 South Bennett Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.

Tommy Sutton moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1979 where he taught at Spelman College and directed the Atlanta University Dance Theater.
