About the Silver Belles Tap Ensemble

known as "The Silver Belles".
The Silver Belles was the name of a performing dance company founded in 1985 that featured five former Harlem chorus girls from the 1930's and 19040's, who were all in their 80's when the Silver Belles was formed. The ensemble was managed by Geraldine Rhodes-Kennedy. Among other appearances, they performed in Atlantic City and in 1986 they appeared on DAn Rather's "48 Hours" television program.
