About the International Dance Organization

General information about the International Dance Organization.

Independent world dance and dance sport federation establshed in September of 1981 to to provide Continental and World Championship competitions to both amateur and professional dancers in forms of dance not covered by the World Dance and Dance Sport Council, the International Dance Sport Federation, or the World Rock 'n Roll Confederation. The dance styles governmed by IDO include performing arts dances (tap, ballet, and many others), street dances, and many different styles of couples dancing. Members are national dance sport federations representing countries around the world.
