The Encontro dos Ritmos Tap Dancing Festival was created in 2011 to promote and popularize the art of tap dancing, to facilitate the exchange of information between tap dancers, to offer workshops, tap history lectures, and other educational opportunities, and to enable people from all social levels to know and experience the art of tap dancing.
